Title / Titel	The influence of psychosocial stress on the expression of clock genes

Summary / Zusammenfassung	The circadian rhythms of mammals are controlled by the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) of the hypothalamus, which coordinates the timing of transcriptional and translational feedback loops involving several clock genes. Because of the difficulties in monitoring the oscillation of the SCN in humans, there are only few studies with human subjects up to now. We hypothezise that psychosocial stress will influences the expression of clock genes in humans. Therefore we measure the expression of several clock genes in 30 healthy men during and after a psychosocial stress test and during a rest condition.
