Title / Titel Genetics of sensorimotor gating in schizophrenia in healthy humans
PDF Abstract (PDF, 14 KB)
Summary / Zusammenfassung Attentional gating deficits, commonly measured by prepulse inhibition (PPI) of the acoustic startle response (ASR), have been established as an endophenotype of schizophrenia. PPI is heritable and has been associated with polymorphisms in serotonin and dopamine system genes. The aim of the study is to further elucidate the genetic basis of sensorimotor gating to better understand the genetic influences on schizophrenia.
