Summary / Zusammenfassung	Some people are better than others at discerning their own wishes, needs or preferences. According to previous research, the ability to access one's "self" depends on current affect as well as on volitional capacities (so called 'action vs. state orientation'). This research project aims at extending current methodology and theory concerning self-access by (1) finding new ways of measuring self-access and (2) completing the theory by including cognitive predictors of self-access.
