Title / Titel	Aortic wall properties after surgical or interventional coarctation repair

Summary / Zusammenfassung	Patients with coarctation of the aorta (CoA) have a high risk for arterial hypertension and ist complication, with or without repair. Hypothesis. Aortic distensibility is altered in patients with CoA before and after repair. Aim: assess the elasticity properties of the aortic wall in patients with repaired CoA by using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and echocardiography. Methods: Distensibility data acquired by CMR and echocardiography will be compared among 1. normal subjects 2. patients with surgical corrected CoA 3. patients after catheter-guided treatment – stent, ballon dilatation
