Title / Titel Recurrence rate of cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas after superficial soft-X-ray radiation therapy

Summary / Zusammenfassung Surgery of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma is challenging if tumor is widespread and trickily localized on tricky sites, particularly in the elderly, polymorbid patients. Superficial radiotherapy is a treatment alternative. However, long-time data are limited.
Therefore, we determined the outcome of superficial radiation therapy of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma in correlation to their histological grade of differentiation and tumor localization in a retrospective study of 180 cSCCs.
