Summary / Zusammenfassung	The study, done for the Swiss federal communication agency BAKOM, analyzes European trends concerning cultural television programming. Furthermore it integrates 1) a survey of Swiss experts and their opinions about cultural programming by the Swiss Broadcasting corporation and 2) a content analysis of cultural programming in Swiss public television. Based on the empirical findings, the study formulates possible strategies to evaluate the cultural performance of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation.
