| Summary / Zusammenfassung | The lack of an instrument for the measurement of knowledge co-operation in organisations led to the development of the Knowledge Cooperation Inventory (WiKo-Fragebogen) and the investigation of its psychometric properties as part of a longitudinal study of knowledge cooperation in organisations. The WiKo-questionnaire includes scales to measure the organisational, individual and collective prerequisites for knowledge cooperation. The questionnaire was administered twice to all employees of a medium-size industrial firm as part of a longitudinal design with 101 (study 1) and 93 subjects (study 2). Alpha coefficients ranged from .57 to .81 confirmed the reliability of the scales and confirmatory factor analysis supported the assumed unidimensionality of the scales. Significant correlations between the organisational and individual scales support the validity of the Knowledge Cooperation Inventory. The Knowledge Cooperation Inventory has been validated in three additional studies in different types of organisations, in a large Austrian firm in the service sector, at a Swiss University, and in an industrial firm in Germany. |
