| Summary / Zusammenfassung | The main work consists in the excavation of the Paleolithic site of Nadaouiyeh Aïn Askar and the prospection of other possible sites of the Lower Paleolithic. Three main objectives are fixed: • Construction of a general chronological framework of the Quaternary of El Kowm. • Reconstruction of the natural environnment (morphological evolution, fauna and vegetation). • Definition and chronology of the human cultures from the origin to the end of the Middle Paleolithic and problems of the related hominids.
