Summary / Zusammenfassung The project aims to characterize food allergy to legumes and cereals in Europe with the following objectives: Recruitement of patients with food allergy to legumes and cereals; establishment of threshold values in terms of food and amount of allergens. Identification and molecular characterization of important allergens in the four foods. Cloning and expression of the important allergens. Development of diagnostic methods based on recombinant allergens. Epitope mapping of important allergens. Production and validation of detection methods in raw and processed food.
