| Summary / Zusammenfassung | To identify interpersonal and socio-cognitive factors mediating the recovery from PTSD, we developed two new measures: (i) Appreciation as victim, (ii) Disclosure of the trauma-report. First the measures’ preliminary versions were answered by 181 former political prisoners from East Germany. Both questionnaires yielded stable factor structures, showed excellent internal consistency and good test-retest reliability. They intercorrelated moderately. In the following study, the measures’ final versions were administered twice to 151 crime victims, together with a comprehensive measure-set (e.g. PTSD symptomatology, quality of life, trauma-related cognitions, cultural attitudes). The socio-cognitive and interpersonal factors showed unique variance in explaining PTSD symptomatology or quality of life. By today only data of time one are available. | ||||
