| Summary / Zusammenfassung | Recent investigations have found that the dynamics of the decrease of tumor burden after initiation of treatment seems to influence the outcome of the disease substantially. Monitoring of minimal residual disease (MRD) in patients with hematopoietic malignant disorders is therefore a very important diagnostic tool to assess treatment response and the individual risk of relapse. We would like to use our expertise in quantitative detection of MRD in patients with childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) to make a significant contribution to the international leading clinical trials in this field | ||||
