Rescue of Scrapie-infected Mouse Neuroblastoma (N2aSc) Cells
Summary / Zusammenfassung
There have been several publications in the last few years, showing that culturing cells chronically infected with prions with certain substrates would inhibit the PrPSc accumulation. According to our observations, it seems that the PrPSc formation of N2aSc cells can be reduced by putting the cells under stress in general. We are currently investigating whether the general stress reaction of the N2aSc cells is responsible for the reduction of the PrPSc levels.
