| Summary / Zusammenfassung | In this research project a link between Paul Klee and Medicine will be attempted for the first time. The focus is not exclusively centered on Paul Klees last illness and its influence on his late work. The issue is being broached much broader in the period of time between Klees first attempt as an artist in 1899 and his death in 1940. The four topics are: From human anatomy to pictorial anatomy. The pathologization of Klees Art. Klees relationship to his physicians. Klees last illness. The interdisciplinary and historical-critical approach will provide a new insight into Paul Klees personality and work. Finally the results of the project will be presented in an exhibition, a scientific publication and a workshop.
