Title / Titel	Non-invasive assessment of airway inflammation in childhood

Summary / Zusammenfassung	Airway inflammation is a specific feature of lung disease in childhood. However, the assessment of airway inflammation has so far been invasive and therefore not suitable for children. We develop non-invasive techniques for measurements of airway inflammation and correlate the measurements to symptoms and lung function. Non-invasive measurements of airway inflammation may allow us to diagnose lung disease in childhood earlier in its progression and to monitor airway inflammation.
