| Summary / Zusammenfassung | This study is part of a quality assurance project of Swiss Olympic Association, the umbrella organization of Swiss sports. The overall goal of the study is to identify factors in sports success or failure at the Olympic Games. Specifically, the study will evaluate, from the perspective of the athletes, the services provided to the athletes by the Swiss Olympic Association (for example, medical care, lodgings, materials transport) prior to and during the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin as to quality and contribution to sports success. The study will also examine the success relevance of other factors, such as coaching, mental training, or social support, which have a much more direct impact on athletic performance, but which the Swiss Olympic Association can little influence. | ||
