Title / Titel Development and Operationalization of Geometric and Atmospheric Preprocessing for Imaging Spectroscopy Data

Summary / Zusammenfassung This project focuses on the development of software for parametric geocoding of airborne scanner data and the full geo-atmospheric correction of imaging spectroscopy data. Two packages are under development and contiguous improvement: the Parametric Geocoding Application PARGE has been initiated at RSL as semi-operational orthorectification procedure for airborne imaging spectrometers. It is now commercially maintained by ReSe Applications Schläpfer under license of University of Zurich. The Atmospheric Correction Program ATCOR4 has been developed at DLR Oberpfaffenhofen by Rolf Richter
and will be improved with special respect to geometric influences in a joint-venture between RSL and DLR. The packages (PARGE and ATCOR4) are now optimized for use with the APEX instrument, which is developed in a parallel project.
