| Summary / Zusammenfassung | Based on studies by Emmons (1986, 1988), in which the influence of intrapsychic goal conflicts on subjective well-being were investigated, our study will focus on the consequences of work-family goal conflicts. We assume that subjects whose individual career goals are at odds with personal family goals will be less motivated to work and, consequently, will show significantly less performance at work. In addition to variables which are relevant at work, a longitudinal study is used to measure multiple indicators for familial “performance and satisfaction” in order to compare the consequences in work-related versus family-related areas. | ||
