| Summary / Zusammenfassung | Learning processes are also communication processes. The background of the project is the linguistic interaction based on the use of new interactive media. Relevant research field is the computer mediated communication by emails within the learning process. The research focuses on written language and integrates aspects of nonverbal interaction strategies. The method of the qualitative analysis is supported by an interdisciplinary approach consisting of communication-, sociolinguistic- (contextualization) and in addition didactical theories and concentrates on interpreting emails between coaches and learners. The most important questions are: - Do any common patterns of communication strategies exist? - Is the practice of virtual coaching an own kind of communication? - How can successful patterns of interactive communication be identified? - Which indicators of contextualization can be determined from the language between coach and learner? - Particularly which contextualization cues leads to misunderstanding in email communication or even to the termination of the communication process? |
