| Summary / Zusammenfassung | Projects are a common form of work in many economic branches. The project manager steers the process of work and leads the team. The success or failure of a project depends substantially on his abilities. Several existing studies show the unsatisfied need of the economy for work power educated in project management and the expectations toward the institutions of educations to satisfy this need. There seem to be deeper situated reasons why the institutions of higher education are not effective in teaching project management: there are several unsolved problems in didactics of project management. As a solution we propose the development of a didactic approach to teaching project management, enabling the students to truly acquire project management skills. Our methodology encompasses classroom and online learning and will be tested in project management courses, accompanied by new e-learning applications. Our research also consists of identifying and developing project management know-how that at the same time satisfies expectations concerning the academic level as well as practical relevance. Our approach will be underpinned by research in leadership psychology. |
