9th Invitational Seminar on Research and Development in Environmental and Health Education
Summary / Zusammenfassung
The overall goal of the Invitational Seminar is to provide a platform for critical discourse on research epistemology and methodology on the back-ground of the ongoing debate about environmental education. This has been the idea when the international non-institutional researchers’ network was founded 10 years ago, and it has followed this line ever since. While previous seminars were focused on concepts, research methodologies and cultural issues in environmental education research the time has come with the beginning UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development to critically examine the relationship between environmental education and education for sustainable development and its impacts on further research. The 9th Invitational Seminar will be organized by the Institute for Teacher Education of the University of Zurich and will take place from 25 - 30 March 2007 at the Conference Centre of Monte Verità, Locarno, Switzerland.
