Summary / Zusammenfassung	The importance of aviation security has increased dramatically in recent years. Visual inspection of passenger bags using x-ray technology is an essential component of airport security checks. In this project, we investigate whether displaying consideration information can help security screeners to better identify prohibited items in x-ray images of passenger bags. Consideration information refers to simultaneously presented x-ray image parts which contain visually and conceptually similar prohibited items as well as x-ray image parts which are visually similar but do not contain a prohibited item. The role of consideration information for increasing detection performance and efficiency is investigated with novices, assistant and expert screeners. Weitere Informationen
