Summary / Zusammenfassung Reflection and self-regulation are claimed as goals in many teaching preparation programs. Especially for inexperienced lecturers or tutors, it is crucial to set individual teaching goals, to become aware of personal improvement opportunities, as well as to get support and answers to their questions regarding their teaching.

In higher education, student teachers often teach on their own responsibility without getting support or feedback. In order to improve lecture quality, tutors need to get support from the learning management system.

I intend to overcome this issue, and thereby improve student teachers’ teaching skills by first providing them with online “teaching journals”, that include meta-cognitive prompts and are being used for reflection of their teaching experiences. Furthermore there should be an online collaboration among student teachers using an electronic platform, based on these “teaching journals”.
