Summary / Zusammenfassung	Rosette Niederer-Kasthofer came to Pestalozzis paedagogical institute in Yverdon in 1807, where she started to teach. A few years later she took over the direction of the girls-institute in Yverdon, founded by Pestalozzi. Later she moved to Geneva, where she lead the institute together with her husband until his death 1843: Johannes Niederer, the most influental fellow of Pestalozzi from 1803-1817. With her job as a director of the girls-institute for almost 30 years Rosette Niederer-Kasthofer belongs to the important paedagogs in public young female-education in early 19th century Switzerland.
